When I arrived at home I was charmed by two snow covered cement garden gnomes that are sitting at the base of my garden stairs. They are a couple of my Husband's salvaged finds and are pretty shabby with chippy paint and missing limbs and are two projects on my endless "to do" list. I had the sudden urge to run and get my camera and take a few shots around my garden; it was such a lovely site.
2 handsome but rather shabby vintage gnomes. And the round lump in front is a cement toadstool, also on the "to do" list.
A previously restored and repainted gnome but you can see his paint is already chipping a little. Even with a good outdoor sealer the paint never lasts more than a couple of seasons in the salty sea air and rain of Vancouver Island.
Another snow covered garden gnome
And finally one of the last pink geraniums in the garden

Such cute gnomes! I can't believe how much snow you've got when Toronto hasn't had a single flake yet!
